About the Role

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated student to join our team for a thesis or internship focused on model-based development for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This position provides hands-on experience with cutting-edge energy technologies, critical for integrating renewable energy into the power grid.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed models of BESS components in MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Design and implement data interfaces for system monitoring and performance analysis.
  • Simulate system behavior under normal operation and failure conditions.
  • Validate the system’s performance against relevant industry norms.
  • Document the process and results, culminating in a final report or thesis.

Your Profile

  • Enrolled in a master’s program in electrical/electronics engineering, control systems, communications, power systems, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink
  • experience in model-based development is advantageous but not required
  • knowledge of communication protocols is advantageous but not required
  • knowledge of cybersecurity is advantageous but not required
  • interested in an employment for more than 4 months
  • systematic and thorough approach to solving technical problems
  • willingness to take responsibility and acquiring new skills
  • fluent in English
